Many Ways (Feat. Wizkid) – Single Review

Bnxn also known as Buju is a Nigerian Afro-fusion artist, released his EP; ‘Bad Since 97’ this August 2022.

Just as an EP, Bnxn has shown his exceptional creativity all the way down to his lyrics, production & features.

Afrobeat-inspired single ‘Many Ways’ ft. No other than Nigerian singer, recording artist Wizkid, Buju tells us how the idea of song came about late at night, which explains the sensuality expressed.

Having the two collaborate again after Buju was a feature to Wizkid song ‘Big Mood’ on his ‘Made In Lagos’ album, it only makes sense as they create such a euphony.

Many ways’ is produced by British-Ghanaian record producer Juls, who is also considered one of the pioneering producers of African music mostly in the Afrobeats circle. I had the pleasure of speaking to Juls regarding his thought process around the making of this listen: “I made this beat earlier this year just vibing in the studio. I have been a bit selfish last couple years keeping some of the dope stuff to myself. At first I wanted to just put the beat out as just a Riddim. Then I hit buju saying I wanted him on there. I wanted it for my deluxe. He recorded some vibes and it was sitting there for a minute. I think wiz later heard it in the studio and they finished the record immediately. I think It’s a special record because it’s a mixture of different cultures both African and Caribbean. Afro kompa if you like (shouts to Haiti). I think a lot of the music I’m listening to now is what will influence my beats and my music moving forward.’

That in itself should show you how great of a hit this song is!
